What is Wet-Cleaning?
Wet-cleaning is a fairly new method used to clean fabrics. Although it is water-based, it differs from regular laundering in that it also uses special fluids instead of regular detergent. It is much more gentle than a regular wash, which allows for us to clean heavily soiled, but delicate fabrics, such as silk, when the dry cleaning process is not an option. This method works well for delicate items that have special beading and/or stones. Because it is water-based, we do not wet-clean your items unless we have spoken to you about why we recommend a wet-clean versus a dry clean and unless we have obtained permission from you to do so.
